Help us win the cultural battle!

Dear friend,

There are also more than 20 countries in the world that were linked to Spain during centuries of joint development and growth.

Currently 472 million people have Spanish as their mother tongue. The number rises to 567 million if you count people who study Spanish or have a limited proficiency in the language.

This figure exceeds 700 million if we count all the people who live in the Iberosphere, a community of free and sovereign nations that share a strong cultural heritage and the economic and geopolitical potential to build a great future.

The greatness of this legacy has always been the target of constant attacks from many civil, political and religious fronts, encouraged also by an unwillingness to defend ourselves from the always exaggerated and unfounded attacks of Spain’s enemies.

Lately, these attacks on our culture and common legacy have increased because of a change in world politics that is trying to destroy the traditional values that have always been defended by Hispanidad (family, religion) and replace them with the new dogmas that are being imposed on our society from different spheres.

It is encouraging to see the number of resources that, in parallel to these attacks, have been emerging to defend the Spanish legacy and history: websites, groups on social networks and YouTube channels. But all these resources are almost exclusively in Spanish, which means that they only reach a part of society.

That is why we have created Web Hispania, to take this cultural battle to the English speakers (for now) who, without bad faith, help to spread this Black Legend that covers up our History. That is why we need your support more than ever. We must join forces to spread the History of Spain and of Hispanidad among our English‐speaking friends and acquaintances, so that the magnitude of the Hispanic legacy is recognised.

Although we may have different visions and ideas, we are united by a firm commitment to defend the History of Spain and the nations that emerged from it, because the past is the key to understanding the present and building the future of our nations, so that we and our children can always live in freedom and prosperity.

Thank you for joining us in this battle.

Best regards,

Web Hispania
